Why You Should Support Blessedbuilds
Displacement disrupts more than geography; it fractures lives, families, and futures. According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR, 2023), more than 114 million individuals have been forcibly displaced worldwide, with children accounting for over 40% of this population. In Ethiopia alone, an estimated 4.4 million people are internally displaced due to conflict and insecurity. Displaced families often face extreme challenges, including a lack of access to education, stable shelter, and mental health support. Data from UNICEF (2023) indicates that one in three displaced children is out of school, while the World Health Organization (WHO, 2022) reports that more than 50% of displaced youth experience significant psychological distress. Blessedbuilds exists to address these urgent needs Through distributing educational supplies, trauma-informed mental health support, and funding community-led rebuilding efforts, the organization is committed to restoring dignity, stability, and opportunity to children and families affected by displacement.
